Noted Chef Set To Open Restaurant In Salem

SALEM, MA — A chef who has worked at high-end Boston restaurants and was once named to Zagat's 30 Under 30 list is close to opening a 35-seat restaurant in Salem. Aaron Chambers and his wife Shanna announced in September they would take over the space once occupied by Firenze Trattoria at 2 Lynde Street. The new eatery will be called Settler Restaurant and offer feature a seasonal, locally-sourced menu.

Chambers previously worked for Not Your Average Joe's, Craigie on Main and Bar Boulud, according to Boston Restaurant Talk, which first reported this story. The new restaurant will feature house-made breads, freshly-made pasta, and winter braises, as well as an extensive wine list.
