Salem, MA — Holden Andre Rupert, 20, of Salem, passed away like an angel and a saint, in the company of his loving mother and his skillful and deeply compassionate hospice doctor and nurse, Thursday, Dec. 15, 2016 at Kaplan House in Danvers.
Born in Arcadia, CA, Holden lived nearly all of his life in Salem. He graduated Salem High School and continued his education in the post high school program. Holden was well known and loved and highly regarded around his neighborhood and could be seen walking with his mother or father and his service dog and friend Robi.
Holden is survived by his mother, Andrea (Hissong) Rupert of Salem; his father David Rupert of Salem; his faithful dog, Robi of Salem; his grandfathers, uncles, aunts and cousins of Texas, Virginia, Tennessee, and Guatemala; and his beloved community that has devotedly cared for him while his relatives live so far away.

Visiting hours are Wednesday from 5-8 p.m. in the Berube & Sons Funeral Home, 191 Lafayette St. in Salem. Dress is jeans and boots or casual preferred. Relatives and friends are invited. Friends are also welcome to meet at the Highrock/First Baptist Church, 292 Lafayette St. in Salem, Thursday at 10 a.m. for Holden's funeral service where dress is also jeans and boots or casual preferred. Burial will follow at the Greenlawn Cemetery in Salem.
