Obituary: James J. Moskovis, 63

James Moskovis was passionate about politics and involved in the community.

Salem, MA - James J. Moskovis, 63 of Salem Massachusetts, entered into eternal life on March 13, 2016.

James was born on May 28th, 1952 in New York, NY. He spent most of his life living in Arlington, MA and settled in Salem, MA after marrying his wife Catherine. James was very proud of his Greek heritage, and was, to say the least, very passionate about politics in general. He loved living in Salem, and was very involved with his community.

James leaves behind his wife of 33 years, Catherine Byrne Moskovis of Salem. James also leaves behind his siblings, and their spouses: Stella and Nicholas Kazantzas of Woburn, MA, Peter and Anna Moskovis of Colorado Springs, CO, Maria Georgopoulos of Lexington, MA and Athena Pickett of Marietta, GA. He also leaves behind his great nieces and nephews Sophie and Lily Georgopoulos, Tommy Demers and Rebecca and J.P. Westin. He also leaves behind his beloved nephews and nieces James Pickett, Dorothea and Vince Westin, Athena and Derek Madeiros, Lania and Thomas Demers, and Evan and Kathleen Georgopoulos. He was predeceased by his Father and Mother, Peter and Contilo Moskovis as well as his brothers-in-law George Georgopoulos and James Pickett Sr.

Visiting hours will take place on Thursday, March 17, 2016 at the Murphy Funeral Home 85 Federal Street (corner of North Street) Salem, MA from 4 to 7 PM with a Funeral Service following at 7PM.
