Patricia Ann Dumond, 64, Formerly of Salem

SALEM, MA — Patricia A. (Day) Dumond, 64, loving wife of 45 years to Daniel Dumond of Peabody, died on December 27, 2016 at Blueberry Hill Nursing Home in Beverly after a five year battle with Early-Onset Alzheimer's Disease. Born and raised in Salem, she was the daughter of the late Robert W. and Dorothy J. (Brown) Day. Following their first date to the Junior Prom at Salem High School, Patty and Danny began what became a life long relationship filled with love and companionship. She enjoyed spending time in the country with her husband, kids and grandkids. Patty was an avid cook and an excellent baker and truly loved being a homemaker. Patty was a member of the Ladies AOH for many years. She very much enjoyed helping to care for her two grandchildren when they were younger. Patty was a devoted, kind and loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was a constant source of love and thoughtfulness to all of her extended family, friends and anyone who had the pleasure of knowing her.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughter Jennifer Walz and her husband James of Peabody, daughter Lisa Sullivan and her husband Paul of Essex, granddaughter Kayla Mulloy of Lynn, grandson Daniel Liberge of Peabody, brother Robert Day Jr. of Lynn, mother-in-law Patricia L'Heureux of Harpswell, ME, three brothers-in-law and their wives and several cousins, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother-in-law Paul Dumond.
Visiting hours for Patricia will take place on Saturday January 7, 2017 from 12PM to 3PM at the Murphy Funeral Home, 85 Federal St. (corner of North St.) Salem, MA 01970.
