The Peabody Essex Museum to offer an inside look into photography with expert related to their Sally Mann exhibition.

How do photographs provoke emotion, construct narratives and elicit emotional responses? Explore these topics and more with our experts while viewing the works in Sally Mann: A Thousand Crossings.
Todd Wemmer’s work explores family photography, memory, archives and photography in everyday life. He is especially interested in the relationship between audio storytelling and photography. His dissertation Lost-and-found Photos: Practices and Perceptions used voicemail as a way to collect stories from the public. Wemmer is an Associate Professor of Communication at Endicott College.
