Portions Of Danvers Rail Trail To Close Next Week
The closures beginning Monday are so the Danvers Electric Division can do vegetation management around the power lines.
DANVERS, MA — Parts of the Danvers Rail Trail will be closed next week so the Danvers Electric Company can do vegetation maintenance around the power lines.
The work is set to begin on Monday and run from 7 a.m. through 3 p.m. on Friday. Closures will be on a rolling basis where the work is being done and are set to start at the Peabody line moving north to Putnamville Park.
Those on the trails are advised that a truck with a large mowing head will be used to remove grass and brush that hinder line access. The trails where is being done will be closed so the contractor can work quickly and safely.
