So last night 12/06/18 we had a power outage centrally located around the Salem State University area atop Lafayette Street. What is funny and or odd was that Police and Fire were dispatched locally but neither has a incident log on it. When I called Salem 5 O, There was nothing logged as of 9:00am on 12/07/2018. They suggested I contact National Grid. The Grid said that information comes from their engineering department and they usually get back in touch in 7-10 business days.
Mayor Driscoll chimed in on twitter last night echoing the 2500 people without power but nothing more thus far. She knows everything, so if she doesn't know, what exactly was it then? A Salem list of power outage causes.
