Salem: 2 Mobile Coronavirus Vaccination Opportunities This Week

The pop-up coronavirus vaccinations will be held Wednesday at the Salem Pantry and Friday outside of the Peabody Essex Museum.

SALEM, MA — The efforts of the city and local health care providers to bring the coronavirus vaccine to convenient public locations where people are at continues this week with two more mobile pop-up opportunities to get the shot.

A Massachusetts General/Brigham & Women's van will set up on Wednesday at the Salem Food Pantry at Salem State University from 10 a.m. to noon on Loring Avenue.

A Curative van — the company that ran the vaccination clinic at the Danvers DoubleTree Hotel site — will be at the Peabody Essex Museum offering doses from 4 to 7 p.m. on Friday.

New vaccinations have slowed in recent weeks just as public health officials are becoming increasingly concerned about variants that are considered more easily transmissible among those who have yet to be vaccinated.

Residents who have been fully vaccinated in Massachusetts have until July 22 to register for the first $1 million state VaxMillions lottery to be held on July 26.
