Here's what you need to know about Salem's Fourth of July fireworks this year.

SALEM, MA – Salem's Fourth of July celebration will begin at 5 p.m. on Derby Wharf with the Kids' Space, which features free face painting, games, and crafts. There will also be a reading of the Declaration of Independence at the Salem Common in the morning.
Country music artist Annie Brobst will begin her performance at 5 p.m. on the main stage. Opening ceremonies begin at 7:15 p.m., with a two-hour POPS concert by the Hillyer Festival Orchestra.
"This year we are very excited to once again have a flyover by the 104th Fighter Wing from Barnes Air National Guard Unit," Mayor Driscoll said in a statement. The 104th Fighter Wing of the Massachusetts Air National Guard is located in Westfield, Massachusetts and claims the honor of being one of the oldest flying units within the Commonwealth. "As the birthplace of the National Guard, it is especially meaningful for Salem to have a flyover by the 104th," said Mayor Driscoll. Salem Common was the site of the first muster in 1637 and continues to host the annual National Guard muster to this day.
