Salem Farmers' Market Kicks Off Season

The Salem Farmers' Market kicked off last week in Derby Square.

SALEM, MA – The Salem Farmers' Market is back for another season to supply Salem with fresh produce, seafood, baked goods, meat, and more. The market runs every Thursday from 3 to 7 p.m. until Oct. 12.

"The market has truly become a destination for the community – it’s a gathering place as well as an opportunity to get fresh, local produce and other goods," Salem Main Streets Executive Director Kylie Sullivan said in a post on the city website, adding that the 2016 market season brought an attendance of well over 2,000 market-goers weekly. "With the great range of vendors that we have, there’s something for everyone at our farmers’ market."

Additions to the 2017 market include Beverly Bees, Eva’s Farm Butcher Shop, West River Creamery, Somerville Bread Company, Pigeon Cove Ferments, Mia’s House of Sweets, Pour Man’s Coffee, Jaju Pierogi, and Lady Ghada, along with many other additions throughout the season.
