Salem Firefighters Save Ducklings From Storm Drain
Union Local 172 said its members joined with Salem State crews to help seven ducklings out of the sewer.
SALEM, MA — In the latest case of North Shore firefighters making way for ducklings, Salem firefighters and university police helped rescue seven of the little guys Wednesday morning.
Local Union 172 posted that firefighters from Tower Ladder 2 worked with Salem State police to help free the duckling from a sewer drain on Atlantic Hall.
Marblehead Fire Engine 1 made a similar save on Mother's Day when crews responded to an unusual call on the Causeway Sunday morning after a group of ducklings fell down a storm drain.
