Salem Menorah Lighting To Go Virtual In Salem

There will be no in-person attendance for the lighting Saturday night at Lappin Park.

SALEM, MA —The lighting of the menorah is the latest Salem event to go virtual in 2020 because of the coronavirus pandemic.

The 9th annual ceremony will be broadcast remotely on Dec. 12 at 7 p.m. The lighting occurs on the third night of Hanukkah and will include a lighting and musical program streamed from Lappin Park.

Greetings from Rabbi Yossi Lipsker, Mayor Kim Driscoll, Sen. Joan Lovely and Rep. Paul Tucker will highlight the event.
