Salem Police Department To Hold Citizens' Academy

Want to learn more about how a police department is run?

SALEM, MA – Salem Police will hold a Citizens' Police Academy to educate residents about the work of the department. The 10-week course will start on Sept. 27, and be held once a week during the evening.

According to a post from Salem Police, the academy will cover patrol, firearms, search and seizure, underwater investigation, police technology, use of force, and more. Participants who attend at least eight of the 10 classes will also get to tag along on a patrol.
