Salem Police To Host Fourth Of July 'Copsicle' Event At The Point
There may not be downtown fireworks this Fourth of July, but there will be free ice cream in The Point neighborhood.
SALEM, MA — While there may be no big municipal fireworks this Fourth of July weekend in Salem there will be some smaller events that ring in the Independence Day fun now that coronavirus-related capacity and distancing restrictions have been lifted.
One of those events will Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. when Salem police will host a free "Copsicle" event in The Point neighborhood.
The event is scheduled for the OnPoint building at 50 Leavitt Street and will be hosted by the Salem Police Department Community Impact Unit.

Salem police will have access to "Copsicle 1" on loan from the Chelsea Police Department.
