Monday, May 5:

  • At 4:12 p.m., police responded to a motor vehicle accident on Boston Street.
  • At 4:37 p.m., police responded to a past vehicle break-in on Allen Street.
  • At 5:09 p.m., police responded to a report of past malicious damage to a vehicle near the intersection of Jefferson Avenue and Horton street.
  • At 5:12 p.m., police responded to a motor vehicle accident near the intersection of Washington Square North and Mall Street.
  • At 6:00 p.m., police responded to a past assault on Winter Island Road.
  • At 6:14 p.m., police responded to a domestic dispute on Kosciusko Street.
  • At 8:15 p.m., police responded to a reported fight in the women's locker room at the Planet Fitness on Traders Way.
  • At 8:37 p.m., police responded to a past hit-and-run accident on Highland Avenue.
  • At 9:17 p.m., police responded to a fireworks complaint on Summer Street.
  • At 11:08 p.m., police responded to a possible fight in progress on Harbor Street.
  • At 11:17 p.m., police responded to a domestic dispute on Peabody Street.
  • At 11:59 p.m., police responded to a domestic dispute on Heritage Drive.

Tuesday, May 6:

  • At  1:21 a.m., police and fire units responded to a working fire on Dow Street. Click Here for our full story.
  • At 1:33 a.m., police responded to a past vehicle break-in on Forrester Street.
  • At 6:41 a.m., police responded to a motor vehicle accident on Jefferson Avenue. Two people were taken to Salem Hospital.
  • At 8:25 a.m., police responded to a domestic dispute on Essex Street.
  • At 8:55 a.m., police made an arrest on Essex Street. Justin F. Lussier, 39, of 315 Essex St., Salem, was arrested for reportedly having two outstanding warrants.
  • At 9:02 a.m., police responded to a motor vehicle accident at the intersection of Bridge and Flint streets.
  • At 9:21 a.m., police responded to a motor vehicle accident on North Street.
  • At 12:23 p.m., police conducted a well-being check on Grove Street. 
  • At 12:42 p.m., police responded to a past hit-and-run accident on Leggs Hill Road.
  • At 1:07 p.m., police responded to a report of a child struck by a motor vehicle at the intersection of Harbor and Prince streets. The injured child was transported to North Shore Children's Hospital. No citations were issued. 
  • At 2:12 p.m., police responded to a domestic dispute on High Street.
  • At 3:09 p.m., a woman entered the police station to report a road rage incident near the intersection of Bridge and North streets. The woman told police a man in a gray Mercury Sable exited his vehicle and threatened to kill her with a hammer.
  • At 3:18 p.m., police responded to a past fight on Wharf Street. One person was placed into protective custody.

Other Arrest

Christopher J. O'Connor, 42, of 15 Mason St., Salem, was arrested on a charge of operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license, subsequent offense.
