Salem Man Arrested on Indecent Assault Charge

Friday, May 30: 

  • At 4:30 p.m., police responded to a report of a past larceny on Cherry Street.
  • At 4:32 p.m., police responded to a report of a past assault. Roger J. Bedard, 72, of 56 Margin St., Salem, was arrested on a charge of indecent assault and battery on a person over 14.
  • At 4:50 p.m., police and fire units responded to a reported brush fire on Federal Street.
  • At 5:22 p.m., police responded to a dispute on Lafayette Street.
  • At 5:59 p.m., police responded to a dispute between neighbors on Loring Avenue.
  • At 6:15 p.m., police responded to a domestic dispute on Bridge Street.
  • At 6:24 p.m., police made an arrest at the Chipotle Grill on Loring Avenue.
  • At 7:43 p.m., police responded to a past break-in at a storage unit on Edicott Street.
  • At 8:21 p.m., police responded to a domestic dispute on Salem Street. 

Saturday, May 31: 

  • At 12:24 a.m., police responded to a domestic dispute on Ward Street.
  • At 12:38 a.m., police responded to a fireworks complaint on Franklin Street.
  • At 1:35 a.m., police responded to a fight in the street on Peabody Street.
  • At 3:35 a.m., police responded to a report of a suspicious activity on Friend Street.
  • At 7:56 a.m., police responded to a past vehicle break-in on Jackson Street.
  • At 8:09 a.m., a Buffum Street resident called police to report that their vehicle was egged overnight.
  • At 9:27 a.m., police responded to a report of vandalism to a house on Hancock Street.
  • At 9:54 a.m., police responded to a motor vehicle accident involving a pedestrian near the intersection of North and Highland streets.
  • At 11:27 a.m., police checked the woods off of Frederick Street for a homeless camp.
  • At 12:23 p.m., police responded to a reported larceny on Hawthorne Boulevard.
  • At 1:12 p.m., police responded to a report of a past larceny on Endicott Street.
  • At 2:11 p.m., police responded to a domestic dispute on Margin Street.
  • At 2:16 p.m., police responded to a report of past vandalism to a motor vehicle on Courageous Court.
  • At 4:34 p.m., police responded to a dispute on Hancock Street.
  • At 6:06 p.m., police responded to a past hit-and-run motor vehicle accident on Sewall Street.
  • At 7:15 p.m., police responded to a report of a past shoplifting incident on Highland Avenue.
  • At 7:39 p.m., police responded to a report of suspicious activity on Beach Street.
  • At 7:53 p.m., police responded to a domestic dispute on Fowler Street. 
  • At 8:20 p.m., police responded to a domestic dispute on Linden Street.
  • At 9:27 p.m., police conducted a well-being check on Highland Avenue.
  • At 10:41 p.m., police responded to a noise complaint on Courageous Court.
  • At 11:18 p.m., police responded to a noise complaint on Harmony Street.

Sunday, June 1: 

  • At 12:35 a.m., police responded to a domestic dispute on March Street.
  • At 12:50 a.m., police responded to a motor vehicle accident on Highland Avenue. Junior I. Torres, 24, of 89 Liberty St., Lynn, was arrested on a charge of operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol.
  • At 1:14 a.m., police responded to a report of malicious destruction to a motor vehicle on Washington Street.
  • At 4:01 a.m., police responded to a noise complaint on Palmer Street.
  • At 8:54 a.m., police responded to a shoplifting incident on New Derby Street.
  • At 9:40 a.m., police responded to a domestic dispute on Chase Street.
  • At 11:01 a.m., police responded to a domestic dispute on Rainbow Terrace.
  • At 12:44 p.m., police responded to a report of an erratic operator on Highland Avenue.
  • At 1:29 p.m., a Bridge Street resident called police to report that copper piping was stolen from their house.
  • At 2:47 p.m., police conducted a well-being check on Highland Avenue.
  • At 3:33 p.m., police responded to a report of an erratic operator on Federal Street.
Other Arrests

Desrianna M. Clary, 19, of 23 Mill St., Beverly, was arrested on a charge of receiving stolen property valued above $250.

Larry E. Clary, 21, 12 First St., Salem, was arrested on a charge of receiving stolen property valued above $250.

Carlos Espinal-Espinal, 23, of 12 First St., Salem, was arrested on a charge of receiving stolen property valued above $250.

Antoine Kelley, 35, of 12 First St., Salem, was arrested on charges of unarmed robbery and assault and battery.

Ester Salazar, 24, of 12 First St., Salem, was arrested on a charge of receiving stolen property valued above $250.

Tina M. White, 48, of 233 Lafayette St., Salem, was arrested on a charge of assault and battery.

Thomas P. Donahue, 24, of 21 Rainbow Terrace, Salem, was arrested for reportedly having an outstanding warrant.
