Salem Police Nab Alleged Vehicle Burglars in the Act

The following is an excerpt from the Salem Police Department's log: 

Wednesday, May 28: 

• At 6:01 p.m., police stopped a motor vehicle on Hathorne Place. Aquiles M. Sanchez Jr., 30, of 11 Cherry St., Salem, was arrested on charges of operating an unregistered motor vehicle and operating a motor vehicle with a revoked license.
• At 7:05 p.m., police responded to a report of suspicious activity on Highland Avenue.
• At 7:23 p.m., police made an arrest on Leavitt Street. Amy A. Jackson, 30, of 13 Edwards St., Beverly, was arrested for reportedly having an outstanding warrant.
• At 7:41 p.m., police made an arrest on Washington Street. William M. Fontaine, 26, of the streets of Salem, was arrested for reportedly having three outstanding warrants.
• At 7:53 p.m., police responded to a report of an injured deer near the intersection of Salem and Dow streets.
• At 8:37 p.m., police responded to a harassment complaint on Saunders Street.

Thursday, May 29: 

• At 1:45 a.m., police responded to a report of a vehicle break-in in progress on Pope Street. Pablo Colon, 35, of 504 Summer St., Lynn, was arrested on charges of disorderly conduct, malicious destruction of property valued above $250, three counts of breaking and entering during the nighttime to commit a felony, four counts of larceny of property valued above $250, two counts of possessing burglarious tools and illegally possessing a class A substance (heroin). Anthony R. Reynoso, 22, of 48 New Park St., Lynn, was arrested on three counts of breaking and entering during the nighttime to commit a felony, malicious destruction of property valued above $250, two counts of larceny of property valued above $250, three counts of larceny of property valued below $250 two counts of possessing burglarious tools, disorderly conduct and illegally possessing a class E substance (Quetiapine).
• At 2:31 a.m., police responded to a domestic dispute on Ord Street.
• At 3:38 a.m., police conducted a well-being check on Ord Street.
• At 8:00 a.m., police responded to a report of an out-of-control student on Willson Street. One person was placed under arrest on a charge of malicious destruction of property valued above $250.
• At 9:00 a.m., police responded to a noise complaint on Appleton Street.
• At 11:46 a.m., police responded to a report of a fight in front of Family Probate Court on Congress Street.
• At 11:56 a.m., police responded to a report of illegal trash dumping on Loring Avenue.
• At 12:23 p.m., police responded to a motor vehicle accident involving a cyclist on Lafayette Street. The cyclist was transported to the hospital to be treated for injuries sustained in the accident.
• At 12:25 p.m., police responded to a past vehicle break-in on Dodge Street.
• At 1:21 p.m., police responded to a report of a fight in progress in a parking lot on Grove Street.
• At 1:22 p.m., police responded to a fight in the street on Butler Street.
• At 1:51 p.m., police made an arrest on Loring Avenue. Jeremy D. Osgood, 34, of the streets of Salem, was arrested for reportedly having an outstanding warrant.
• At 2:41 p.m., police responded to a domestic dispute on Lafayette Street.
• At 3:12 p.m., police responded to a report of a deer struck by a motor vehicle on Lafayette Street.
• At 3:59 p.m., police responded to a report of a loose pitbull near the East India Square fountain.

Other Arrest

Pedro J. Pimentel, 23, of the streets of Boston, was arrested for reportedly having two outstanding warrants.
