The event is in support of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Pride Month in the city.

SALEM, MA — Salem residents and the North Shore community is invited to Riley Plaza on June 3 for a Pride flag-raising ceremony in support of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Pride Month in the city.

The ceremony will take place at 11 a.m. and is open to the public.

Isabel Strobing helped coordinate the donation of the flags through Mainvest, a small business investment platform based in Salem, for this year's event, which will continue the tradition behind Salem resident and LGBTQ activist Gary "Gigi" Gill. The event is intended to bring people together to raise the flags to celebrate Salem's proud diversity.
