Salem Resident Appointed NSCC Assistant Dean of Liberal Studies

SALEM, MA – Christian Bednar has been appointed the new assistant dean of Liberal Studies at North Shore Community College (NSCC).

Prior to becoming the assistant dean, Bednar was the interim assistant dean and a professor in the Communication Skills Department. He has served as Faculty Coordinator of the Center for Teaching, Learning and Assessment (CTLA) and was instrumental in bringing the Accelerated Learning Program (ALP) and First-Year Experience to the college's curriculum.

Bednar resides in Salem with his wife and three children. He holds a B.A. from Saint Anselm College in English, an M.A.T. English from Boston University, an M.A. in English from UMass Boston and is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in higher education at UMass Boston.
