Salem Students Honored At Husson, Lehigh, Springfield, URI

These Salem students were among those recently earning academic or athletic distinction.

SALEM, MA — Jason Dinh, of Salem, graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business and Economics degree with a major in Finance and Business Information Systems with Honors from Lehigh University this spring..

During commencement ceremonies on May 24, Lehigh University conferred 1,295 Bachelor's degrees, 549 Master's degrees and 104 Doctoral degrees. Of the nearly 2,000 graduates, degree recipients came from 45 states and 36 countries outside of the United States.

Salem resident Lindsey Ruth Russell has been named to Husson University's President's List for the Spring 2021 semester.

During the spring semester, Russell was enrolled in Husson's Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science/Doctor of Physical Therapy program.

Springfield College has named Brian Woods, from Salem, to the Dean's List for academic excellence for the 2021 spring semester.

Woods has a primary major in Sports Biology.

The University of Rhode Island is pleased to announce the Spring 2021 Dean's List. More than 7,000 students were named to the Spring 2021 Dean's List, representing nearly all of Rhode Island's cities and towns, all six New England states, New York and New Jersey, and many other states and countries.

The following local students were named to the list: Maddie Csogi and Stephen Szpak.

To be included on the Dean's List, full-time students must have completed 12 or more credits for letter grades which are GPA applicable during a semester and achieved at least a 3.30 quality point average. Part-time students qualify with the accumulation of 12 or more credits for letter grades which are GPA applicable earning at least a 3.30 quality point average.

More than 670 students received degrees from Plymouth State University on May 8. The following Salem students earned degrees:

Emily Stephenson graduated with a Bachelor of Science in exercise and sport physiology.

Isabel Layne, of Salem, graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in interdisciplinary studies.

Michael Mancini, of Salem, graduated with a Bachelor of Science in business administration.
