Salem Water Main Break On Loring Hills Avenue

Residents in the area from Loring Hills to the Swampscott line may experience low water pressure, interruption of service or brown water.

SALEM, MA — Salem Department of Public Services crews were working on a water main break in the area of Loring Hills Avenue to the Swampscott line early Tuesday afternoon.

Salem DPS said residents in the area may experience low water pressure, interruption of service or brown water until the leak is repaired.

Work was expected to continue through much of Tuesday afternoon.

UPDATE: Salem Chief of Staff Dominick Pangallo reported about 4 p.m. that water had been fully restored after the 12-inch main was fixed.
