SALEM, MA — Is it street sweeping day in your Salem neighborhood? You better double check or you may get towed.

In the latest step towards normal operations after the coronavirus crisis, Salem warned residents it will resume ticketing and towing on street sweeping days in city neighborhoods. The city had suspended the practice during the coronavirus crisis when more people were self-isolating and working from home.

"Please note when your street is posted for street sweeping and move your vehicle in order to avoid being towed and to allow the street to be more completely swept clean," the city said in a news release Friday.
