Salem's Forest River Trail Closed For Upgrades
The Forest River Trail will be closed through late September while work is being completed.
SALEM, MA – The City of Salem, Salem State University, and the Mass. Division of Conservation & Recreational Trail Program will be upgrading the Forest River Trail through late September.
The upgrades include improving drainage, grading, and the trail's surface to increase accessibility, according to a post on the city website. The work will go from the trailhead by Salem State University's South Campus to the main footbridge over the Forest River.
