Salem's Palmer Cove Basketball Court To Close For Renovation

The court will stay open through Memorial Day weekend and now close on June 1 to complete upgrades.

SALEM, MA — Salem's Palmer Cove basketball court will stay open through Memorial Day weekend before closing for renovations.

The court, which was scheduled to close on May 27, will now instead close on June 1 for the renovations.

The upgrades are anticipated to be completed by June 30.

The basketball court will be resurfaced and new trees will be added.

According to Building Salem, the work, which began in February and is scheduled to be completed in July, includes relocating and upgrading the community garden plots, an improved waterfront promenade, additional parking at Salem Street, new walking paths and trees.
