SALEM, MA — Scratch Kitchen, the restaurant that has occupied a prominent corner in downtown Salem since 2011, is closing.

"It has come with a lot of hard thinking and was not an easy decision but we will be closing Scratch Kitchen," the restaurant said in a Facebook post Monday. "We will miss you and hope you are doing well during this period of time."

Scratch suspended operations on March 20 during the coronavirus pandemic and then started offering a limited takeout menu a few days later.
