SALEM, MA — The following are excerpts from the Salem police logs. Information below does not indicate a conviction.

Dec. 5
12:28 p.m.: Police took a report for a past breaking and entering from a building on Washington Street.
4:12 p.m.: A police unit was sent to Essex Street for a past shoplifter. A manager who told police that a blonde woman wearing a black coat and carrying a hot pink back pack tried on a pair of black rubber boots and then fled the store. Police were not able to locate the woman.

5:11 p.m.: Police were sent to First Street for a report of an undesirable. officers spoke with a man who signed a vacate to move order and that he and anyone who is still living in the apartment had to leave by 11/30. Police spoke to another man who had been advised that he needed to leave the apartment. The man left without incident.
Dec. 6
10:38 a.m.: police were dispatched to Beaver Street to check on a parked van. No further issues were reported.

Arrests
Dec. 6, 8:41 p.m.: Police arrested Frank Mejia, 21, of Home Street on charges of assault with dangerous weapon, attempted murder, discharging a firearm within 500 feet of a dwelling and carrying a firearm without a license.
Dec. 7, 11:30 a.m.: Police arrested Aimee M. Shea, 31, of Gloucester on a warrant.
