The Clashing of Cultures Has Never Been So Relatable!

By: Nicole Wood

The Off Broadway production of My Mother is Italian, My Father is Jewish and I’m in Therapy (written by Steve Solomon, directed by Andy Rogow and preformed by Peter Fogel) opens with Steve waiting for his therapist to arrive, he quickly goes into great detail about his bicultural family’s antics and of-course shortcomings.

Peter’s performance produces nothing but head turns, finger points and belly laughs. Whether you are from a traditional Jewish family who believes in nothing except perfectly Kosher meals and pinching every penny possible, an eccentric Italian upbringing where yelling at the top of your lungs is normal every day speak and criticizing one other is expected or you are just looking for a fun, light hearted and un-expected experience then I suggest that you go see this show.
