Timmys Angels Honoring Frontline Workers

Local Non-Profit Organization Is Saying Thank You To Our Local Heroes During This COVID-19 Pandemic

Timmys Angels, a small non-profit organization in Salem, MA, is doing great things. They are 100% volunteer run and its co-founder, Staci Sverker, is a longtime Salem resident. Timmys Angels is known around the community as an organization that you can reach out to if you need help with coats, school supplies, holiday gifts, etc.

This past week, Timmys Angels started honoring those on the frontline during the COVID-19 pandemic. These are nurses, home care workers, grocery store employees, among others. People that are getting little or no recognition but are putting their lives on the line every day. Staci decided about a week ago to raise funds to help thank these much deserving North Shore residents. Along with her husband Carl and kids, Kaylyn, Skylar, and C.J., she organizes daily car parades with other volunteers to deliver lunch, dinner or treats to the daily recipients.

There are anywhere from 5 to 10 cars caravanning through town to the recipient's home or work then homemade thank you signs are raised and car horns are honked. Some of the local kids make thank you cards to give to them. Everyone is keeping safe with masks and social distancing.

Timmys Angels is an organization that started in the memory of Timmy Byrne by his family. Timmy was 11 years old when he was hit by a car and he died as a result of the accident. He was an organ donor and his ultimate gift helped so many people so we wanted to help more people in his memory.
