Topless Man Screaming About The Government: Salem Police
Police looked for a man without a shirt screaming about the government, helped get a bat out of a home, and more from the Salem Police log.

- Officers responded to a report of a neighbor dispute on Chandler Street last Tuesday around 6 p.m.
- Cassia Fernandes, 34, of Salem, was arrested on charges of assault and battery, and disturbing the peace last Tuesday.
- Kerwyn Francis Medrano, 19, of Lynn, was arrested on charges of resisting arrest, disorderly conduct, driving without an inspection sticker, possession to distribute class A drugs, and possession to distribute class B drugs last Wednesday around 9:30 a.m. after a traffic stop on Loring Avenue.
- Jeffrey Suazo, 28, of Salem, was arrested on charges of wanton destruction of property and larceny from a building last Tuesday around 9 a.m. after a report suspicious activity on Federal Street.
- Christopher Edward Wallis, 24, of Salem, was arrested on charges of possession of a class B drug last Wednesday.
- Police responded to a report of a topless man screaming about the government on Essex Street last Thursday around 5 p.m. Officers found no disturbance.
- Officers responded to the Highland Avenue Burger King parking lot on a report of a car hung up on a rock on a traffic island on Thursday around 6 p.m.
- Police helped Washington Square residents get a bat out of their home on Thursday around 8 p.m.
- Someone reported youths trying to climb the flag poles at Riley Plaza in an attempt to steal the pride flags on Friday around 9 p.m. Police didn't find any youths in the area and all the flags were there.
- Jamie M. Bent, 29, of Salem, was arrested on charges of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, attempted murder, a civil rights violation, and assault and battery on Wednesday around 1:30 a.m. after a report of a disturbance on Charter Street.
- Lisa A. Byrne, 50, of Magnolia, was arrested on charges of possession a class B drug on Tuesday around 6 p.m. after police responded to a report of a drunk person on Broad Street.
