A $1 Million Instant Lottery Ticket Sold In Seekonk

SEEKONK, MA — A $1 million instant ticket winner was recently sold in Seekonk. Kimberly Souza, of Pawtucket, R.I., purchased the "Winter Ice" ticket at the Sam's Food Store on Newman Avenue.

The Massachusetts State Lottery said that Souza chose the one-time cash option and will collect $650,000 before taxes. Sam's Food Store received $10,000 for selling the grand prize ticket.

Souza claimed the second of three prizes in the "Winter Ice" instant game.
