Columbus Day in Seekonk: No Trash Pickup

SEEKONK/SWANSEA, MA — Columbus Day is Monday and Seekonk/Swansea schools will be closed.

In Seekonk, there will be no trash pickup. Monday pickup will be held Tuesday; Tuesday pickup will be held Wednesday; and so on through the rest of the week.

In Swansea, trash pickup will operate on a normal schedule.

Here's a list of what else is open and closed in Seekonk and Swansea Monday:

• Mail: No mail delivery. Post offices are closed.
• Banks: Most banks are closed. Check with your financial institution to be sure.
• Financial markets: U.S. markets open.
• Government offices: Closed.
