County Street Work Begins In Seekonk
Seekonk police urge caution when traveling around construction crews at County Street and Fall River Avenue.
SEEKONK, MA — Seekonk police are asking drivers to be cautious around construction crews after initial work began on County Street at the intersection of Fall River Avenue. Police said Friday drivers would see work crews starting some work on this project.
Road closures and detours were not anticipated as of Friday.
The project to improve traffic flow through the intersection is expected to cause alternating traffic and lane closures, and is scheduled to take 16 months.

The Massachusetts Department of Transportation sent out a notice last month on the work that will take place between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. The project will include utility work, excavation, pavement milling, paving, curbing, sidewalks, driveways, drainage, installation of traffic signal equipment, pavement markings, traffic controls and other improvements.
