Malnourished Dogs, Goats Recovered From Freetown Home
A Fall River woman is facing 13 counts of animal cruelty after three dogs were found dead, 27 other animals were found malnourished.

SEEKONK, MA —Nine dogs and 18 goats have new homes or are recovering at a Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals adoption center after the Bristol County District Attorney's Office said they were found malnourished in Freetown. The DA's Office said three dogs were also found dead on the Howland Road home on Jan. 9.
The DA's Office said the owner of the animals, Miranda Rosyski, 21, will be arraigned on 13 counts of animal cruelty at Fall River District Court on March 3.
"The allegations in this case are disturbing," Bristol County DA Thomas M. Quinn said. "We appreciate the efforts of the MSPCA's Law Enforcement Department in contacting us and working with us to fully investigate this very serious matter."

The MSPCA said the surviving animals have been placed on specialized re-feeding programs, and two of the dogs are being treated for heartworm.
Six dogs, including Redbone Coonhounds, Standard Poodles and a black Labrador Retriever, were adopted into new homes. The MSPCA said three dogs remain in its care. Those looking to adopt one of the three are encouraged to visit the MSPCA's Nevins Farm Adoption Center in Methuen to see the remaining dogs.

The Nigerian Dwarf goats are recovering at the MSPCA at Nevins Farm. While three goats died after arrival, 15 are now available for adoption, including four who are pregnant.
“We are focusing our energies on restoring the health of the surviving animals," said Mike Keiley, director of adoption centers and programs at the MSPCA-Angell. "We believe they will make wonderful pets, and we hope adopters will visit us this week to meet them in person."
