Friendly's Closes 2 MA Locations, 6 Overall
One of the locations is the city where Friendly's first started.
SEEKONK, MA — Friendly's has shuttered six restaurants, including two in Massachusetts, after what it said was an inability to keep up with the company's standard of customer service.
Friendly's closed locations in Seekonk and Springfield, the city in which the ice cream restaurant chain was born.
"Over the past few years, we have identified and minimized the number of locations that no longer deliver the customer experience that we are working to create," Friendly's said in a statement.

Friendly's now has 46 locations across Massachusetts. It recently opened a location in Marlborough.
