High Winds Shut Down Roads In Seekonk Friday Night
Seekonk police were asking drivers to avoid the areas of Appaloosa court, Woodland Court and Tee Jay Drive on Friday due to downed trees.

SEEKONK, MA — Seekonk police warned of downed trees and closed roads Friday night as high winds wreaked havoc across the state. Police said Woodland Avenue, Appaloosa Court and Tee Jay Drive were among the roads that were closed.
Seekonk police said the roads were blocked by fallen trees. Downed power lines were also affecting travel in electrical service in the town early Friday night. As of 7 p.m. National Grid reported 323 outages in southeastern Massachusetts affecting 65,945 customers.
Winds reached more 70 miles per hour in the state in causing widespread damage.
