Lane Restrictions On County Street In Seekonk

The road will be reduced to one lane during daytime hours this week as part of a 16-month intersection construction process.

SEEKONK, MA — The intersection of County Street and Fall River Avenue in Seekonk will be reduced to one lane during daytime hours this week as work gets underway on a 16-month project to improve traffic flow. Seekonk police said on Monday to expect delays and avoid the area, if possible.

The Massachusetts Department of Transportation sent out a notice last month on the work that will take place between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. The project will include utility work, excavation, pavement milling, paving, curbing, sidewalks, driveways, drainage, installation of traffic signal equipment, pavement markings, traffic controls and other improvements.
