Daniel P.A. Fong, 76, passed away unexpectedly Sept. 24, 2013.
He was the husband of Jean Fong for over 45 years.Â
Born Nov. 27, 1936 in China, he immigrated to North Attleboro when he was 16 years old and attended North Attleboro High School. Daniel then attended art school at Lesley University and later became art director for Halladay Advertising in East Providence for 25 years before retiring. He also owned and operated the House of Fong restaurant in Seekonk for many years.
Daniel loved watching his grandchildren grow up, tending to his garden, following the stock market, writing poetry and watching sports, especially NFL Football and the Boston Red Sox. He also volunteered his time at the Richards Memorial Library in North Attleboro.
Daniel also loved his time spent at his beach home in Narragansett, R.I. where he could enjoy the ocean views. One of his favorite times of the year was hosting an annual reunion of family and friends at the beach house.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter Diane and her husband Gary Constantine of Tyngsboro; his daughter Bonnie Fong of Chicago and grandchildren Andrew and Tyler Pomposelli; his son Stephen and his wife Theary Fong of North Attleboro; and his grandchildren Kenneth, Alisa, Kevin and Elizabeth.
Visiting hours will be held Friday, Sept. 27, 5 to 8 p.m. in the Sperry & McHoul Funeral Home, 15 Grove St., North Attleboro. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home Saturday, Sept. 28 at 10 a.m. followed by burial at Mt. Hope Cemetery & Arboretum, Attleboro Falls.
