Obituary: Harry Moran, Army Veteran

Obituary from Waring-Sullivan Memorial Tribute of Birchcrest:

Harry Moran, 89, of Dighton, formerly of Swansea, died at home surrounded by his loved ones Sept. 30, 2013.

He was the husband of the late Mary (Silvia) Moran.

Born in Blackstone, son of Spiro and Elena (Gaci) Moran, he spent his youth in Blackstone and lived in Swansea for many years, moving to Dighton four years ago.

Mr. Moran was a disabled veteran having served in the US Army with the 166 combat engineers in World War II.

He enjoyed bowling with several leagues at the Dudek Bowling Alley in Warren and ballroom dancing at the Roseland in Taunton.

Mr. Moran is survived by his nieces including Loretta Marschner; and his many friends including Jay Arruda of Swansea and Debbie Lepage of Dighton. He was preceded in death by his two brothers and two sisters.
