Fatal I-195 Crash Victim Was 72-Year-Old Man

SEEKONK, MA — A 72-year-old East Bridgewater man is dead following a two-vehicle crash that closed I-195 westbound Friday afternoon. Police said victim, who has not been publicly identified, was pronounced dead at Rhode Island Hospital.

The crash, which occurred near Exit 1, involved a dump truck towing a trailer, police said.

All lanes of the interstate were reopened after 4 p.m., but there were still significant delays into the evening commute
