Seekonk Students Organize Donation For Homebound Seniors
Seekonk High School students donated games, coloring books, and puzzles to homebound seniors.
SEEKONK, MA — Seekonk High School students and staff members started off the new year with a donation to the town's homebound seniors, providing them with puzzles, games, adult coloring books, and crossword puzzles to keep busy during the pandemic.
The donation was made directly to Seekonk Human Services, which assists older residents who are unable to or are choosing not to leave their homes during this time.
"On behalf of the senior residents of Seekonk and myself, I would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to you, the students and staff of Seekonk High School for the generous donations of games, puzzles, adult coloring books and crossword puzzles to help our homebound seniors," said Brittney Faria, Director of Seekonk Human Services, in a letter to Principal Bill Whalen on Thursday.

"It is great to see so many people come together to help others in the community, especially at a time like this," said Faria.
