Seekonk, Swansea Announce Parking Bans Due To Winter Weather
The parking bans will be in effect until 10 p.m. Friday.
SEEKONK/SWANSEA, MA — The Towns of Seekonk and Swansea have implemented parking bans Thursday due to winter weather that is expected to bring three to seven inches of snow to southeastern Massachusetts.
The Seekonk parking ban will be in effect from 2 p.m. Thursday to 10 p.m. Friday and the Swansea parking ban will begin at 10 a.m. Thursday and last until 10 p.m. Friday.
During the parking bans, on-street parking is prohibited to allow for snow plow operators to clear the roads. Vehicles that are not moved ahead of the ban may be towed at the owner's expense.

The National Weather Service issued a winter weather advisory Thursday morning that will be in effect until 7 p.m. Friday. Hazardous road conditions are expected and drivers should be prepared for delays during the Thursday evening commute.
