We asked Patch readers what they thought the biggest safety issues were in their town. Here’s a list of the most pressing problems, from break-ins to traffic jams:
- "The 4-way stop at Cole St and Olney in Seekonk. We are walkers and have almost been hit even with a crossing guard on duty."
- "its still the Grist Mill intersection. It's worse than before they "fixed" it."
- "The Grist Mill intersection has been changed but is now worse. Seems like there wasn't a lot of thought put into it."
- "Arcade and 44 - they should paint left turn only lanes so cars do not race into 1 lane."
- "Ledge and Arcade by the high school. It is dangerous and it has the most inexperienced drivers coming in and out of there. There should be a cop when students are arriving to school and leaving school."
- "There is an increase of distracted drivers with increased speeds on Cole, Olney and Anthony streets. There are a lot of walkers, runners and kids riding bikes."
- "Grist Mill intersection is the most deadly."
