Seekonk's September 11 Memorial Service

The town will pay tribute to those who lost their lives, as well as the residents who participated in the cleanup efforts.

SEEKONK, MA – On September 11, the Town of Seekonk will hold a remembrance ceremony for the victims of the September 11th terror attacks. The observance will begin at 6 p.m. at the Public Safety Complex on Taunton Avenue.

The town will honor those who lost their lives in the attacks and in the subsequent efforts to combat terrorism, as well as residents who participated in the cleanup efforts, veterans and first responders.

The Seekonk Police and Fire Honor Guards will present the colors, and elementary schoolers will lead the crowd in the Pledge of Allegiance. The invocation will be given by Rev. Joy Utter, and Rev. John Amaral will give benediction.

There will be a musical performance by the Seekonk High School Brass Ensemble, and the ceremony will feature additional guest speakers. Attendees are asked to bring chairs.
