Swansea Announces State Approval Of Regional Vaccination Site
The Town of Swansea is collaborating with the Towns of Somerset, Fall River, Attleboro, and Taunton to host a series of vaccination clinics.
SWANSEA, MA — The Town of Swansea has announced the state authorization of a regional vaccination collaborative between itself and the Towns of Somerset, Fall River, Attleboro, and Taunton.
As part of the collaboration, the five towns will begin planning clinic logistics with help from the Massachusetts Department of Public Health. The clinics will be hosted five days per week at alternating locations in each participating community.
“We are extremely pleased to have the opportunity to partner with our neighboring communities to offer a regional vaccination clinic for our community members and residents across the state,” said Town Administrator Mallory Aronstein in a statement. “This regional clinic will give us the bandwidth to once again vaccinate our residents in a streamlined and accessible manner.”

Although the towns have not yet received vaccine doses due to a constrained supply, they expect to receive approximately 750 vaccines per day to administer to all eligible individuals.
“We look forward to taking the next steps in helping to move along the immunization process and providing this service to our residents and neighboring communities,” said Swansea Board of Selectmen Chairman Christopher Carreiro in a statement. “I would like to thank the state for its approval of our regional collaboration and we look forward to working alongside DPH to facilitate these clinics.”
