Swansea Begins Pearse Road Culvert Replacement
The road will be closed at the culvert for about three weeks.
SWANSEA, MA – The Swansea Highway Department's contractor has begun replacing the culvert on Pearse Road, according to the town. The road will be closed in the area of the culvert for at least three weeks starting Monday, Oct. 16 and ending on Monday, Nov. 6.
Traffic will not be allowed to pass during this time period. Drivers are asked to seek alternate routes.
If utility work and weather conditions delay work on the culvert, additional road closures may be needed. Construction is scheduled to take place between 6:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m. Mon.-Fri. and will be completed no later than Dec. 28.
