Swansea Cancer Survivor To Lead 'Ride For A Reason'
Swansea resident and cancer survivor Kim Silvia-Pare will lead a Ride For A Reason charity cycling event for Gloria Gemma Breast Cancer.
SWANSEA, MA— Swansea resident and cancer survivor Kim Silvia-Pare will be one of two instructors leading the upcoming Ride for a Reason charity cycling event to benefit those with breast cancer. Silvia-Pare and Suzanne Tanner, two longtime instructors with CORE and both breast cancer survivors, will lead the cycling event in Providence, Rhode Island, on Thursday, Oct. 24. CORE is a premium boutique fitness studio located in Providence's Wayland Square.
The Riding for a Reason event will benefit Gemma Breast Cancer Resource Foundation. Post-workout cocktails will be served by KEEL Vodka. The event will take place at CORE's new cycling theater, which features 30 custom-designed stages, bikes, illumination, sound and projection. It was installed by a team that has worked with many leading names in popular music, including Genesis, Paul McCartney, Pink Floyd and the Rolling Stones, according to CORE.
The event is scheduled to take place from 6:45 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Oct. 24. CORE is located at 229 Waterman St. in Providence. The fee to participate is the rider's choice of contribution: $25, $50, $75 or $100. For more information or to register, visit corefitprov.com/book.
