Three Women Struck By Car Driven In Seekonk Parking Lot
Seekonk police said one woman was pinned under the vehicle after being hit outside of the Ocean State Job Lot on Highland Avenue.
SEEKONK, MA — Seekonk police said three women were taken to the hospital with serious, but not life-threatening, injuries on Thursday after they were struck by a vehicle in the parking lot of the Ocean State Job Lot on Highland Avenue early in the afternoon. Police said one of the three women was pinned beneath the car and had to be freed using airbags.
Seekonk police said they received several 911 calls about 1:30 Thursday about a pedestrians being hit in the parking lot. Dispatchers were told that one woman was pinned beneath a vehicle.
Police said they responded to the scene and assisted all three victims, who were sent to an area hospital for their injuries. Police said an investigation into the incident was ongoing as of early Thursday night.
