U.S. Senate Primary Takes Place Tuesday
Polling stations will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.

This may come as a surprise to some (maybe many) people, but there is an important election Tuesday in Attleboro and the rest of Massachusetts. Republicans and Democrats will vote to determine the nominee for their respective parties in the special election for the U.S. Senate seat formerly held by now Secretary of State John Kerry.
The Democratic ballot includes U.S. Reps. Stephen Lynch and Edward Markey. Also running for the party's nomination is write-in candidate Brett Rhyne. The Republican ballot includes businessman Gabriel Gomez, former U.S. Attorney Michael Sullivan and state Rep. Daniel Winslow.
All voting will take place from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Seekonk High School (261 Arcade Ave.) and Joseph Case High School in Swansea (70 School St.). The winners of the primaries in each party will face off in the election June 25 to determine Massachusetts' next U.S. senator.
