What You Need to Know About the Deutsche Bank Championship at TPC Boston.

The first round starts on Aug. 29 at 8:20 a.m.

It’s Labor Day weekend which means the PGA is back in Norton!

Pro golf is invading the area this weekend for the Deutsche Bank Championship at TPC Boston. The event kicks off with a Pro-Am on Thursday and the championship rounds over the weekend.

Tiger Woods may be out of the tournament but many of golf’s top stars are expected to compete over the weekend.

2012 champion Rory McIlroy comes in as the favorite to win at 4-1 odds according to CBS Sports. Adam Scott and 2013 champion Henrik Stenson are the next favorites to win at 11-1 and 16-1 odds.

Schedule

The first round of the pro tournament starts on Aug. 29 at 8:20 a.m. and will last until the evening of Sept. 1. Traffic is expected to be heavy on Route 140 near the Mansfield-Norton town line through Labor Day so drivers are advised give themselves extra time to get to their destination or seek an alternative route.

Below is a complete schedule of start times and gate hours:

Aug. 29 - Round 1

Start time: 8:20 a.m.

Gate hours: 6:30 a.m.-7 p.m.

Will Call hours: 6:30 a.m.-5 p.m.

Aug. 30 - Round 2

Start time: 8:20 a.m.

Gate hours: 6:30 a.m.-7 p.m.

Will Call hours: 6:30 a.m.-5 p.m.

Aug. 31 - Round 3

Start time: 8 a.m.

Gate hours: 7 a.m.-7 p.m.

Will Call hours: 7 a.m.-5 p.m.

Sept. 1 - Round 4

Start time: 8 a.m.

Gate hours: 7 a.m.-7 p.m.

Will Call hours: 7 a.m.-5 p.m.

Parking

All spectator parking is located at the Xfinity Center (formerly Comcast Center) located at 885 South Main Street in Mansfield. General parking is $10 each day and VIP parking runs $30 per day. Fans can buy a $50 general pass that will be valid for the entire tournament. Fans will not be allowed to park near or at TPC Boston.

Shuttles will be available to take fans to the golf course throughout the day. The shuttles start at 6:30 a.m. on Friday and Saturday and at 7:30 a.m. on Sunday and Monday. The service ends at 8 p.m. on each day.

Parking can be purchased ahead of time online.

Tickets

Passes to the tournament start at $30 for the first round and $60 for a day pass to the remaining rounds. A four day ticket starts at $175. Click here to purchase passes.

Fans can either print their tickets at home or pick them up at will call located at the Xfinity Center for a $3 fee.
