The new 328,000-square-foot warehouse is located in the former home of the Reebok distribution center and store. Amazon expects to create 125 new full-time jobs with an average annual salary of $45,000 as well as hundreds of part-time and seasonal jobs. Capital investment in the facility is expected to top $20 million.

Local elected and appointed officials supported a Tax Increment Financing (TIF) exemption for the Internet retailer in order to bring Amazon to Stoughton. According to the press release, the TIF offers a reduced personal property tax rate for the first 10 years of the facility’s operations.
